Tax Staff

In the Tax Staff position, the successful candidate will:

  • Provide guidance on the tax implications of business investments and transactions
  • Assist senior management on client engagements
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient structures for US investments
  • Assist in the compliance aspects of US tax for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, S-corporations and individuals
  • Ensure tax filings comply with standards regarding property investments, income, and allocations
  • Provide technical tax expertise regarding tax-efficient structures and planning
  • Review tax estimates and projections
  • Research and manage complex tax matters, including planning and compliance
  • Respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities
  • Staying current on recent tax developments within the US
  • Provide meaningful feedback in a timely manner; and keep leadership informed of progress and issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or working towards obtainment of licensure
  • 1-3 years tax experience tax experience including tax planning, compliance, and preparation
  • Thorough knowledge of the tax impact to individuals and their business and investments
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines is a must
  • Strong organizational, time management and follow through skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Integrity, dependability, and trustworthiness

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters of Tax degree preferred
  • Big 4 firm experience preferred
  • Computer proficiency with software programs such as RIA Checkpoint, Thomson Reuters full suite of tax software: UltraTax, Workpapers, Practice CS and File Cabinet, Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Tax Senior

Responsibilities:

In the Tax Senior position, the successful candidate will:

  • Provide guidance on the tax implications of business investments and transactions
  • Assist senior management on client engagements
  • Develop and implement tax-efficient structures for US investments
  • Assist in the compliance aspects of US tax for corporations, partnerships, LLCs, S-corporations and individuals
  • Ensure tax filings comply with standards regarding property investments, income, and allocations
  • Provide technical tax expertise regarding tax-efficient structures and planning
  • Review tax estimates and projections
  • Research and manage complex tax matters, including planning and compliance
  • Respond to inquiries from regulatory authorities
  • Staying current on recent tax developments within the US
  • Provide meaningful feedback in a timely manner; and keep leadership informed of progress and issues.
  • Demonstrate qualities of a team leader and assist in mentoring Tax Staff
